About Her

My photo
India
Little Moments Of Bliss is a silhouette of a feeling that resides in my heart. A software engineer by degree, a writer at heart, and a teacher by profession, I'm all that I never thought I would be. Pretty pictures,a poem that blatantly refuses to rhyme, a text from a deranged friend, a sudden gesture of love, its these little things in life, that matter and sprinkle bliss. Grace the couch and share a cuppa!

Art of Love.

My heart takes flight, into the dusky sky,
My gestures don't say it, but I want to comply.
Be my friend, I can't stay apart
For I am afraid,
Thy love is thy art.

PS - This is my first attempt at writing a poem, please be courteous enough to give me your genuine feedback.

  3. First attempt? Wow. It doesn't seem like it. :)

Its short and yet, encompasses the feeling of falling in love (helplessly..?!). Great attempt.

  4. Nice! Undoubtedly a classic attempt at short poem. I love the short poems because they convey more in less. :)

Keep going.. once poetry touches you.. you tend to see more in little things.

    1. More in less, that is exactly what I love about poetry :)

Although for me, it takes almost twice as much time in composing poems than what it takes in writing prose ;)

  9. The 'smooth' art of....is that what you meant? Yes, the apprehension and subsequently the fear, both are expressed very well. Distinct...confidently worded.

    So, next poem? :)

  13. "Thy love is thy art" - that's such a wonderful thought! :) The idea of being artful in love isn't often brought up. And I love that photograph that goes along with it, too. Evokes endless lazy summer afternoons spent with the one you love.

  27. I'm not a good judge of poetry. Never got the hang of those rhyming words really. (Gave me nightmares in school, you know)
But I liked the sound of words. Very lovely indeed. Especially, "thy love is thy art" :)

  28. a lot of times , people write pages and pages of what they call poetry and there are these few gems who write a verse and that verse speaks volumes about the writer. and this stands true in your case.
and i also read the last post. amazing and well i want to add more adjectives and tell you how much i loved it but the topic and the visualization of all those scenes makes me feel puckish..!
if you get up to change the world you will be changed.and this is so true in INDIA.
well if ministers can say that jeans arouses men to rape. what better can you hope for?
and i missed you and your posts. :)

And only yesterday I was telling a blogger friend about how love is such an over talked and yet under expressed theme when it comes to literature. I love how you did justice with it =)
