Little Moments Of Bliss is a silhouette of a feeling that resides in my heart. A software engineer by degree, a writer at heart, and a teacher by profession, I'm all that I never thought I would be. Pretty pictures,a poem that blatantly refuses to rhyme, a text from a deranged friend, a sudden gesture of love, its these little things in life, that matter and sprinkle bliss. Grace the couch and share a cuppa!

Little by little, day by day.

No combination of 26 different alphabets can ever capture even a sliver of what this feeling is, but it needs to go into the books as a beautiful beautiful memory, so here's your glance into it.

So, It happens like this.

Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and in the middle of that nowhere you meet someone. For some inexplicable reason, you feel more connected to this stranger than you do to anybody else. Little by little, day by day, you grow to love this person more than you love yourself. Steadily, you start to feel that they're the center of your universe. Your happiness, your sorrows, your smiles, your tears, your days, your nights, everything is for them, everything is from them. They embrace your darkest fears and make you smile at odd hours. They're the one that you want to be painfully honest to, no matter how embarrassing it is. They're the only person who will drop everything just to be with you when you need them, no matter what the circumstances. You no more fear the perilous times, because they've always got your back. With them, you just want to let it all out, and breathe, hold them really close on the rooftop at 3 in the morning, kiss them and tell them all about how beautiful life is with them. They make you want to gravitate into a passive world of sweet oblivion where you fulfil all your wildest fantasies.

If you ever feel blessed enough to meet such a person in life, never let them go.

Because you don't just automatically love someone. You slowly learn to place your trust in them, they make you feel wanted, they make you feel loved, they make you want to levitate with all the happiness that you can't contain within yourself, your face hurts from all the smiling, you never want them to let go of your hand because their fingers intertwined with yours silently tell you that you're special to them,  and thats when it hits you, that you aren't delirious with joy for no reason, its love.

You fall in love with them the way you fall asleep, slowly, and then all at once *

They make you realise that "I miss you" is the most beautiful sentence anyone can ever hear from another person, knowing that your presence makes somebody happier. In french, they say "Tu me manques", which means "You're missing from me", and it is a lot more apt, because they become a part of your being.

Love is as scary as it is beautiful. Letting yourself be simply yourself and expecting someone to love that side of you is terrifying. But there is so much to be gained, much more than there is to be lost. Love fills up your heart with a feeling that can only be filled by the sheer simplicity of unconditionally loving someone and being loved in return. Its the little things that make it worth it; the surprise kisses, the warmest hugs, the stolen glances hidden from everybody else.

Being your true self for someone is completely frightening, but the feeling that engulfs you when someone embraces you at your most vulnerable low, is Love.

PS they say never fall in love with writers, they make demons look beautiful, if anyone's reading.
PPS Summer of 2014 will always be special. It is this season that I fell in love with a wonderful person , and somehow, he loves me back too.

HandMade by Carousel

A very dear friend of mine, Twisha of OneLife.ManyMoments has dared to live her dream. And I want to help her realize how great it is.
Its the first step.
And all great things start with that one little step.
Visit her Facebook Page and have a look at all the quaint little things she hand picks.
Its like weaving magic into your home decor.

She is simply looking for beauty - the kind that can't be explained - only felt.

I got this box customized for my sunglasses :) Can you spot mine and my blog's name in the doodle ? ;) Quirky, ain't it :)

By now, I'm sure you're dying to know from where to shop.
there you go :)

Thank me later :)
You know where to find me.

Love.

Bundle of Joy [55Fiction #8]

He clenched his fist around her tired finger, a tiny pink bundle and smiled into her pale face. Her hair, wet with sweat, pointed in every possible direction and the maternity gown hung lose from one of her shoulders, yet, she had never felt so beautiful.

She smiled back and whispered, You complete me baby.

PS - My sister has been blessed with the cutest baby boy. He is going to be 12 days old today :) Pretty suggestions for his name are most welcome :)

The Street Vendor [55Fiction #7]

He knew it would be a beautiful day since the moment his first customer said Thank You to him. Never had a person spoken to him with such kindness. Although he couldn’t sell as many sweet-potatoes as he did everyday, content resided in him.

Those two little words filled the void of respect inside him.

Chaotic Gleam [55Fiction #6]

The inky sky is a beautiful hazy chaos today. These witty clouds have slyly conspired to send out old unspoken messages  to the universe, basking in their own apparent glory. They look happy and so am I.
For once, I wish the sun wouldn’t peep in, just this once, and then the clouds could rule.

PS - Not much of fiction went into writing this.

The Lambent Afternoon

"That hardly qualifies as consolation" She whined some more.

"Let somebody love you for who you are, not who they want you to be" He spoke with great fervor and the gleaming sun scandalized by throwing in the perfect ambience upon the busy street.

"Maybe its me, maybe I'm a little weird at times." A humorless chuckle decided to punctuate Kate's words.

"No, BECAUSE you're a little weird at times" He pulled her to himself in one quick motion and planted the sweetest kiss on her lips.

Have a Merry Christmas and A Merrier New Year :)

A Word Of Love

Serendipity

The Oxford says it means 'A happy accident'. And that is what happened to me. Deciding to blog was the best thing to have happened to me in this past one year. Because blogger has become an inseparable part of me in these 6 months and has made me meet these utterly beautiful people, I plan to drop in a little 'word of love' for them. This blog has seen me write my first fiction, it has seen me cry for my long lost best friend, it has seen me frustrated, it has seen me ranting senselessly, it has seen me changing its destined title 'Little Moments Of Bliss' to 'Wishful Ramblings' and back, now it needs to know how much I adore you and your work.

This post is to let you know that even if my lazy bum doesn't comment much, I read you and I love what you write, be it your own work or your comments on my blog. My 11.11.11 gift to you :)

The only thing this life of mine has taught me is 'Adore while you still can'.
And I've decided to do just that by giving you this Blissful Blog Award today.
You may forward this award to your fellow bloggers and spread the love :)

Meghna - This girl wrote her very first words when she was 3, you don't believe me ? See for yourself. Her intricate detailing of the mad woman and her wobbly stomach will make you swoon over her pen :) Most of her work is hidden in her laptop or Facebook notes where only a few people can read it. I was the happiest person on earth when she started blogging. And girls, read this and then have the nerve to tell me you don't love her like I do ;)

Crystal - Not many bloggers know me and this absolute gem of a person share the same name :) (And to be clear, her actual name is not Crystal ;)) You know what, I generally don't hold affection for girls who share my name with me, but you and this other friend of mine are my beautiful exceptions. And about your blog, all I wonder now is why didn't I spot you earlier ? Seriously Crys, where were you ? Lost and Found made me fall for you :* And do not change your blog's title, Pentagram is who you are, don't abandon it midway.

Shashank - This guy in the mirror had started reading my blog a couple of months ago. He was just another face in the crowd for me, until one day when I checked my mail and found out a certain shashank Sapre had taken the pain of reading my every post and commented what he truly felt. From a blogger's point of view, if a fellow bogger digs through your old posts, thats when you know you're doing it right :) His blog does not follow any guy conventions, he'll write about PMS and the fact that he'll miss his college with equal enthusiasm :) Go, pay him a visit.

Musings of a Troubled Mind - One of the very few people who actually take the pain of reading what you've written, comment a whole post in return and make you feel its all worthwhile :) My sad posts get me a cheerful happy mail from him and my faith in goodness is so restored :) I'd rather call you Musings of an Optimistic Mind :)

Deepthi - Yes, I'm very particular about that 'H' in your name. Your header is awesome. Stay with it for a little longer Deepthi :) You deserve this award, your blog is peaceful in its own respect. And women, you just can't argue with them. Your titles always take me by a happy breeze of freshness. Do. Not. Ever. Stop. Innovating :) Grab this award :)

Suvaiba - When I opened the Soul Sister link on Crystal's blog, I knew you'd be special. The fact that you understood my heart's ache for B so aptly and did not advice me to go and call her up makes you all the more lovable. You're one of the few who understood I can never get back to her. Lips soaked with venom speaks volumes for what wonders you can do with your pen :)

Aakriti - Writing is her world. More so, I'd say she can't go a couple of days without treating her readers :) The beautiful compositions of her Yarn of Words will take you by a surprise :) One of the many things I love about you is that you never comment if you haven't read what I've written. Some people do this and it set my blood boiling :D Your comments are the best :) And Aakriti, tell your dad I said he is totally handsome ;)

Sameera - Yours is the blog that I have been digging rigorously this week Sam (if I may call you that) and Silhouettes couldn't have gone better. You are an amazing writer and your 55Fiction series inspired me to start my own :) Your blog truly deserves this award, It gave me several blissful moments this week :)

Cricket Freak - Okay, back when I was in school, al I used to do was wander around without any sense and laugh with my best friend all day long :D and here you are, making a journal of the most important phase of being a teenager. I so love you for that :) Even I hate it when babies cry :D It just gets onto my last nerve left. Guess we have more in common than what we know :)

Isha Maniar - Hey there, my little chocolate hater ;) I was at my happiest when I found out there's this another living soul who hates chocolate as much as I do :) Your short, crisp, absolutely from the-bottom-of-your-heart posts, make me love your blog :)

PeeVee - How can I possibly imagine blogger without you Priyanka ? You are an amazingly happy soul, you make me want to write and the way you made these recent characters of your latest fiction make love before parting ways, I love you even more :) That picture of you and Nandu is super-cute and no, the camera doesn't hate you :)

Hazel - Pablo's angel is as beautiful as her blog :) She writes about teeny-weeny little things that happen to her and you love her more with each passing day. Her list of ambitions in life will force you to make one of your own. You'll love her for how simple and honest she is :)

Red Handed - Need I introduce this mysterious young woman to you all ? :D Your blog makes me think why doesn't all this funny stuff happen to me ;) Your wit and your sarcasm is a unique form of bliss Red :) And yes, the mystery adds to the fun.

Lady Fiona - A true princess with a pen of gold. Soul mother to my favorite blogger, You write with all your clear conscience and Masquerade was your best post for me :) Behind that deceitful disguise remains to be my favorite phrase since the day I read it. You're gifted Fiona, truly gifted and you look so beautiful in that profile picture of yours :) Stay the same.

Anuranjani - First things first Anu (Yes, that's what I'm calling you :)), you are a notable newbie :) Yes, that's awesome. Your comments and that pretty mail of yours made me feel loved and I want to make the feeling mutual by telling you that you are a great writer sweetheart. I shall be a regular reader from now on.

Alcina - Okay, so to be honest, I haven't read enough of her work, but she was so graciously nice when she wrote those beautiful words of praise for me on her 100th post. that was my moment of Bliss Alcina. I'm starting to stalk you now.

Chintan - Okay, first things first, Sourabh is one hell of a lucky guy (Did I remember his name correctly ? :D), And you intimidate me because I have writer's block almost everyday and here you come up with this-one-awesome-than-the-previous-one posts everyday. I like it that you're so blunt and your blog name couldn't be more apt :)

Blahblaholic - And here comes my beautiful N. fellow-blogger-cum-sister. I know this brought a smile on your pretty face, and now you're nodded with those curly tresses in approval :), She makes people meet in boring parties and then they walk home hand in hand very much in sweet love :) And to top the awesomeness level, she even writes poetry. Grab the award N :)

Mohammad Israr - Considering his amusing blog, you'd never know he is somebody with a solid sciense research background. His write-ups and his modern day take on old age stories can really give you quite a complex. And I shouldn't fail to mention, Israr's comments can make your day :)

Diana - A fragile clay jar with a treasure inside. Isn't that just too beautiful a name for a blog Diana ;) Your comments make me happy and don't ever stop writing :)

Normal.Is.Overrated - Just the perfect mixture of strength and independence. She'll write about how people shouldn't wear masks, be the real them, and you'll feel the chill too :)

The other side of me - When I read her first ever fiction love story, I knew Tosm was one of my kind. And Tosm, one thing you didn't know is that we both have a thing for dimples. They're so cute. I seriously wish to marry a guy with dimples someday. And I know deep down you wish the same girl :) Grab the award :)

Ananya - Chicolate. Isn't that just too innovative ? Visit this angel's blog only with some forewarning, specially if you're a girl, her posts will make you drool over your computer screen. Her posts about Cinderella's stupid act of leaving her shoe behind made me running to the shoe store and secure another pair for myself. Yes, those posts have that magic ;)

The blue Periwinkle - I don't have words to describe the awesome pictures this another friend from aamchi-mumbai clicks. Go and see for yourself :)

SukuPedia - You became special the moment you became my 200th reader Sunita :) People, visit her blog asap, because she has promised a lot of love this November. Grab your share from it and spread it :)

Uff, that is writing something. Place this award on your blog and let people know you dwell in a blissful place.

I'm sorry if I've left anybody who feels they should be on this list. I'll have another one coming up soon.

Have a Happy day :)

... And it Rained Again !! Part II

I know I've bugged you a lot here and there when it has rained, kindly try not to hate me for it :P
It has rained 'Elephants and rabbits' ('Cats and dogs' doesn't even begin to cover it) today, all over North India :)
Paper boats are back in vogue ;) My darling brother and his Nikon are BFFs again :)
He's too lazy but I coaxed him into capturing some, and they are his best work.

I had forgotten how to make those, mom remembered :)

Yes, that water was all muddy but I couldn't care less :D

Old ladies hang out here every evening :) I wonder how will they kill time today.
This one held my gaze for the longest time

STAY BLESSED !

Serenity

Its 12.27 at night and my heartiest love to all you night people out there.

I generally do not write posts like the one I just began typing but I've let my guard down because of the plain awesomeness of whats happening to me right now. Writing about it is all I can do to restrain myself from walking out of my room in my night dress at this hour.

My room is at the rear end of our home and the plot behind our home is blissfully empty, which makes every noise, every chitter chatter of the road back there, reach our ears ( I meant me and my brother's, Yes love, I have an angel for a brother, Wwwhhaaatt ? You don't know him ? Oh wait, I've never mentioned my brother on this blog, My bad, Well, he deserves to be mentioned in an entire new post, dedicated only to him). My mind has silently pasted a post-it on its wall, shall be done soon :)

Shh Shh Shh back to the current mood, Okay, so I have been telling you about the whereabouts of my room because something very serene is happening to me right now. I can listen to every ( well, almost every) raindrop falling on that road right now, and trust me, it's sheer music to my ears. As they say 'SOME FEEL THE RAIN, OTHERS JUST GET WET'. The cars brushing by the droplets, sudden lightening (the kind that makes the actress jump and very deliberately stick to her boyfriend's chest in bad movies :P).

I know I've dedicated a post to rain already, but why does this feel like something entirely different ? ;)

People always say rain is an over-rated concept, I hereby defy the concerned :P Calling rain over-rated would be the under-statement of the century, rain has hidden a million emotions in its innumerable droplets, It has mystery to it, much more mystery than human mind can handle. My air-conditioner has been depriving me of this pleasure since forever, thanks to my allergic nose and these irritating sneezing fits, I did not switch it on today, else this sweet melancholy would have never reached my ears.

Now I know why mom says ''there is always something good peeping out of a black cloud''

Victims of Cupid

***

Enveloped in the strong hold of his arms, letting them protect her from evil, laying in them, and reciprocating, was all she desired. She knew his arms were her Castle and his Heart was her Sky. She was the undisputed queen of his heart. Resting in them, getting drenched in his toxic scent, always took her to a dream-world dotted by little angels, that sprinkled love all over with their magic wand. There was something about the way he slept, so serene, so subtle, so angelic, that gave her an adrenaline rush. She could hear a million words in his little gestures, and they made her feel like a Duchess, irrevocably and hopelessly in love with her Duke. She silently tip-toed her way to the rest room, slid out of her satin night dress and situated herself in her hot bath. A few minutes later, silently walking bare foot into the room,

**It so smells like him everywhere**

leaving behind trails of dripping water droplets along her way to their bed, she planted a sweet motherly kiss on his forehead to wake him up. He opened his eyes, soaked in the exquisite view of his beautiful duchess, gave a child-like mischievous curve to his perfect lips, that made him look disturbingly desirable and held her close to his chest. Ecstasy blanketed them. How they wished, time stopped, and they devour each other's presence and love forever. Few blissful heavenly moments later, he gently pressed his lips to hers and strode out of the bed. The call of the daily chores could not be ignored any more.

She sent a silent prayer to her God 'Gracious, for making him walk into my life'.

***

I have no clue what made my fingers type the above write-up but I thought it was time I made my thoughts see the light of the day. And my future knight in a matt-finish armor (shiny armors are so out of the game), I hope you fill my life with such love one day !

P.S. Cascada's 'Everytime we Touch' tingles every romantic molecule of my being whenever my headphones bring it to my ears. Do check it out, though I'm sure you must have heard it. :)

My Sweet Nothings

I so adore making lists :) Here I come up with another one :) Certain very beautiful little instances of my life have been enlisted here and I'd so re-read this when I grow old, become a toothless granny and laugh my lungs out at how crazy I was :D

1. I love the strawberry fragrance of my new soft wash. It's so fruity and vibrant. Makes me feel like a fat strawberry fresh out of the green. LOL :D

2. When I'm bored studying, I love making weird patterns on the bed sheet ( I make good contrasts, I have pens in all colors ) and on the pajamas I'm wearing.
The look on mom's face is worth capturing when she sees them. :P

3. I love the feeling that hungry version of me experiences when I see my food arriving at a restaurant.

4. I absolutely adore the blue family. Aqua, Royal blue, Sea blue, Sky blue. Love'em all.

5. I love it when my mom sends me and my brother a text everynight saying 'I love you both, gudnite beta', although it takes her an eternity to write through her qwerty keypad, she does it for us.
I'm proud, I taught her how to text :)

6. I love to apologize without saying sorry.

7. I love it when I find people doing the same wierd things that I do.

8. I love it when after a long winter day, I get into my oh-so-cozy bed and my quilt takes time to move from cold to warm to more warm. That warmth makes it all worthwhile.

9. I love 'How I met your mother'. I feel so so so connected. I cried when Marshall lost his father.

10. I love the simplicity and neatness of cartoon character's lives. I used to read comic books when I was a kid and more than the story, the environment interested me. Any damn colored walls, clean neat simple homes, little windows, everything so cute and proper. (Yea, you guessed it right, I'm an obsessesive Virgo) :P

11. I love receiving instant replies to texts sent after 2 AM.

12. One new message on Facebook makes me much more happier than 10 new notifications.

13. When idleness leaves me with no choice, I love to paint pretty pictures on my nails :)

This picture came out as a result of my exam anxiety :P
14. I love the cold side of the pillow.

15. I love completing a task before the microwave beeps.

16. I love to try going back to sleep hoping to complete my incomplete dream.

17. I absolutely love to surprisingly find money that I don't know of in my jeans pocket.

18. I love balancing a light switch and then celebrate my little success with myself :)

19. This is one thing that does not happen but I'd love it if it ever does. I wish to receive letters from my friends. Not the ones they hand over to me themselves but the ones that are actually posted. The ones that have little drawings of hearts and flowers and stuff on the borders. :D Huh !! stupid cellphones and low call rate plans. Letters are extinct.

20. I love the sight and sound and feel and touch of the rain.

21. I totally love the tininess of baby clothes and other articles. My nephew and my neice give me tonnes of happiness by being so little and crazy :) !

22. I love falling asleep on a couch and waking up with a blanket on me. Mom Mom Mom. Can I ever love you more ?

23. Damn you Steve Jobs, You've made me fall in love with a gadget. I adore my iPhone like bees adore honey. I used to loathe touch screens and now my fingers try to flee off my hand when they see a keypad.
P.S. when is the next one coming out ?

24. I know 24 is a weird number to end this list but no censoring and no extra footage to anything that hasn't earned to be here.
- I love to smile when I send you a smiley. Sending an emotion and not an emoticon is the sweetest thing life taught me. :) (Yes, I did smile).

Have a pretty day :) !

Hugs :*

... And it Rained Again !!

One of the loveliest facts about Rain, It never hesitates giving free hugs to any and everybody. It doesn't discriminate.

It's raining folks. No, it can't get any better. Monsoons have struck my part of the country and my happiness knows no bounds. Water, grey sky, that season when mothers forbid their daughters to wear white before going out, those nights when you want to keep the air conditioner to the minimum temperature and stuff yourself with a fur blanket, Oh man, I'm lovin' it all.
I stand in my gallery until that last drop of rain leaves the sky and reaches earth. I feel an urge to pick up a pen and a paper and write an essay on 'The Rainy Day' all over again :D. Umbrellas, heavy sky, onset of winters, Aah  idleness finally offers me some play.
Today, I came out of my long pampered strawberry fragranced bath in the morning and damn, it was raining. I wanted to get wet in the rain but was too lazy to bathe again.
And then, my front porch came to my rescue, once again ;) I made myself half a mug of light coffee with two cubes dairy milk floating in it, the 2-minute noodles in exactly 7 minutes, picked up my chopsticks (I'm totally into learning how to grab food with a chopstick these days), and parked myself quietly in a chair facing the rain.

I still remember, when I was a little girl mom would not let me get wet in the rain because it used to give me a really really bad cold, I used to pick up an umbrella, big enough for even 10 years-older-me and stand on the terrace for as long as it rained. :D
Mom tried to put sense into me saying 'there's no point standing on the terrace with an umbrella when it's raining baby', If I were a little less stubborn that would have surely worked. ;)
To my amazement, rain does not only sprinkle delight and pleasure and mischief all over, it also provides a patient listening ear to the unrested souls.
It is almost like it's whispering 'Lay your trust in me, talk to me, speak your heart out, I'm all ears'. I used to be a very clumsy, grumpy, moody, in short, a sullenly irritable teenager and this post has been written particularly to talk about one special role rain played Oscar-like in my life.Few years back I was not happy with simply anything life was offering, I did not like the food mom cooked, I did not like my school, my friends, my tuitions, my new apparels, nothing at all entertained me.
Then one fine day, it was raining really hard, so hard that it almost hurt. I went to my terrace ,sat quietly on the dome like structure and thought, 'well life isn't that ugly and mean after all.'
Blame my teenage mood swings or my teenage hormonal changes, there was no reason for my grumpiness but rain was surely the reason for me winning the marathon back to being chirpy.

A little message for those who don't like this drizzle, pour your heavy heart out to rain some day, it'll gulp away your sorrows in no time !

ONLY IF RAIN COULD STALK ME FOREVER !!

June 4, 2011

My heart - 'i want to write', My mind - 'you want to "what" ?'

So, I was staring at the mirror restlessly, fulminating against my fat nose for it stands out like a proud IIM MBA, amidst it's peers, expecting a seven figure job any propitious second. A sudden whisper caught my ears. I looked around my little purple room and found myself alone. Criticizing took a more serious turn as my flaws screamed at me holding strongly to their BFF- my brown outlined mirror.
And the whisper had matured into a confident thunder by then.
It was my little thumping heart.
Yes it was.
Urgent. Firm. Strong. Clear as a crystal.
It announced 'I WANT TO WRITE, I MUST BLOG' ! My mind, the wiser of the two, kept it's engineering jitters away for a second, almost popped out of my skull, came eye-to-eye with my heart and counter attacked 'you do ?'
My heart, the merrier one, was experiencing an outburst of valiance by then. Dauntless ,as I will put it.
Yet Suave. Sober.
It replied 'Yes, I do'.
My mind - 'since when ?'
and my heart lost it's orientation at that,
'Since like forever, do you mind springing back and minding your own business ?'
It was then that I had to interrupt. My brain went under lock and key with the key thrown away. (for the time being :P). And I had a nice chat with myself.
Long. Soothing. Tranquilized. As if unburdening a sac of emotional blur off my shoulders.  Almost like a newborn wrapped up in white cotton drifting away to dreams.
And being the spoilt pampered kid that my heart is, it got it done his way and here I am, flaunting it's toxic stringency.
I will write. I will blog. No doubt, I will. Not because I'm the mother fairy of words. But because it spells PARADISE. because it makes me feel alive. because it's the celebration of my heart's joyous triumph over my mind.

Have a spry,sleepy Sunday ! :)
